On units of 2020 and 2021 Jet Ski STX160X (JT1500S), and STX160LX (JT1500T) models, there is the potential for the front storage compartment lid and fixings to be damaged under certain riding conditions such as riding in rough water, riding through waves etc.

What are the hazards?

In these conditions water can be forced under the lid placing excessive pressure on the lid and fixings causing damage to them Continued use with damaged parts could cause the lid to become detached and impact the rider, potentially causing an accident which may lead to serious injury or death.
