A 999cc in-line 4-cylinder engine equips RIDGE side x sides for a wide range of conditions, from rugged work to advanced play. Unique, selectable Power Modes offer precise control when you need it most.

RIDGE is the first Kawasaki side x side with a 4-cylinder engine at the core. This means more power and higher torque than ever before, accommodating a wide range of work and recreation situations. Tuned to deliver an impressive 92 horsepower¹ and 65.8 lb-ft (89 Nm) of torque, the high-performance in-line 4 produces unparalleled trail riding enunciated by an unmistakable howl to excite the senses.

This vehicle's HP was measured according to ISO standard 4106. This ISO standard measures HP differently than the SAE standards by which the horsepower of many car is measured, and as a result the referenced HP measurement may be higher than if it were measured by an SAE standard.

This rugged side x side features 3 unique power modes which allow the driver to set power delivery to suit their preference and adapt to current conditions.

– Work mode offers a milder throttle response, contributing to superb low-speed control when driving at an ultra-low pace.

– Sport mode, the sharper, more linear throttle response suits recreational driving, offering a direct feeling between the gas pedal and the engine.

– Normal mode, a perfect balance between work mode and sport mode, offers smooth engine response from the time the throttle is opened.

The snorkel-style intake for the engine and CVT is located under the hood, where the chance of dust or water ingestion is minimal. A high-quality Donaldson air filter keeps debris and dust from entering the engine with superb dust collection performance. Plus, rear-facing exhaust ports keep heat away from the cabin, while a dual-wall heat shield further contributes to heat shielding.

On-the-fly electrically selectable 4WD and rear differential lock allows drivers to quickly and easily switch between drive systems to better match terrain conditions. Locking the rear differential causes the rear wheels to act as a single axle, (preventing wheels from free spinning in low traction situations or when a wheel is suspended in the air) helping produce maximum traction when riding in muddy or snowy conditions.

The RIDGE side x side’s ride comfort starts inside the cabin, with ample shoulder space and legroom for 3 people seated side by side, as well as 3-point seatbelts for support. A lever-adjustable driver's seat and tilt steering allow the driver to further fine-tune their position for increased control and comfort. Sliding behind the wheel feels like getting into a car—from the natural sitting position to the position of the steering wheel and controls.

On RIDGE, 3-person bench seating for the driver and right-side passenger provides support during sport riding and stellar ride comfort at cruising speeds. The seat material has superb elasticity for an even more comfortable ride. The interior design allows a wide space between the dashboard and the seats, making it possible to walk through the cabin.

RIDGE side x sides boast a high-grade, 7-in, full-color TFT LCD screen featuring multiple selectable display modes and vehicle information—all available at a glance. In addition to Riding Logs, community features, maintenance, and display notifications, Kawasaki’s Powersports-exclusive RIDEOLOGY app offers several new functional and entertainment features designed to enhance group rides.

On the RIDGE Limited HVAC, an 8-in Garmin Tread off-road navigation system comes as standard equipment. It also features group ride radio and audio system capability. The navigation system is built into the center console giving the dash a well-integrated appearance.

All RIDGE HVAC side x sides include multiple vents with mode selection (defrost, defrost + floor, floor, dash + floor, dash), adjustable fan strength, a choice of fresh or recirculated air, and new more powerful HVAC system for fast heating/cooling/defrost.

Electric power steering (EPS) is standard, and Kawasaki’s high-grade EPS system works best when you need it most—at extremely slow speed and when stopped. EPS also acts as a damping system, further enhancing ride comfort and control. The inertia of the electric motor significantly reduces kickback to the steering wheel caused by shocks to the wheels.

Complementing its sporty and tough styling, the RIDGE side x side’s sleek exterior includes painted fenders and all-LED lighting. A fierce expression comes from the front headlights’ line-type LED position lamps, a large aluminum Kawasaki emblem on the front grille, and a durable steel front bumper.

Roof and doors are standard on all RIDGE models, adding to the premium quality feel. Doors include both exterior and interior handles, and on full-cab models, electric power windows.

Storage space abounds in RIDGE. Multiple covered compartments and a center console in the dashboard provide space for small items and easy-access storage. Keep drinks secure with 2 cup holders built into the left and right sides of the dashboard, which are large enough to accommodate 30-oz cups and feature a design that makes room for cup handles. In addition, the center portion of the back seat folds down, enabling access to storage space behind the seats. When folded down, the centerpiece offers 2 more cup holders. Storage space is also available beneath the passenger seats.

A DC socket in the dashboard provides power for accessories, and 2 USB ports are available inside the lidded storage above the glove box.
