With its all-new litre-class In-Line Four engine mounted in a sturdy chassis, the RIDGE XR is well-equipped to take on a wide range of conditions, be they on the jobsite or on the trail. Power Modes and on-the-fly selectable drivetrain adjustability enhance the control offered by the high-power, high-torque engine and CVT.

Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke In-Line Four delivers high power* (86.5 kW / 118 PS) and high torque* (100 Nm) to accommodate a wide range of work and recreation applications. Sharp, crisp response is accompanied by linear power delivery and the unmistakable howl of a high-performance In-Line Four, enhancing sport riding excitement as drivers enjoy the precise acceleration control.

Continuously variable transmission (CVT) offers very smooth response, facilitating vehicle operation. This contributes to the silky smooth power delivery—especially from start to 32 km/h. Thanks to carefully tuned engine settings, the CVT belt catch and release is extremely smooth and natural, and ensures that the belt stays engaged until almost completely stopped, contributing to reassuring engine braking on downhill slopes.

A choice of Work, Normal, and Sport modes allows drivers to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. The milder throttle response offered by Work mode contributes to superb low-speed control when driving at an ultra-low pace and facilitates maintaining a constant low speed using minimal throttle even when driving on an uneven surface. In Sport mode, the sharper, more linear throttle response suits sportier driving. Normal mode offers a balance between the two, offering smooth engine response from the time the throttle is opened.

Electrically selectable 4WD and front and rear differential locks allow drivers to quickly and easily switch between drive systems to suit changing terrain and applications while on the go. Locking the front and rear differentials causes each pair of wheels to act as a single axle, giving the RIDGE XR true AWD capability and ensuring maximum traction when riding over challenging terrain or navigating obstacles.

Double-wishbone suspension is used both front and rear to enable each of the wheels to navigate obstacles with minimum effect on the chassis. Long wheel travel (F: 323 mm; R: 322 mm) contributes to both ground clearance and ride comfort. Shock units with dual-rate springs and carefully tuned suspension settings offer superb ground-following performance and a balance of comfort and damping that helps deliver a composed ride and minimises roll speed.

High 350 mm ground clearance reduces the chances of the RIDGE XR scraping its bottom, translating to greater accessibility whether at work or at play, and contributing to superb ride comfort.

30” large-diameter tyres and 14” aluminium wheels contribute to the RIDGE XR’s excellent off-road capability. Machined finishing along the wheel rims calls attention to the large size of the wheels, contributing to a sporty image.

At 880 mm long and with a 453 kg (1,000 lbs) cargo bed capacity, the RIDGE XR’s flat cargo bed has plenty of room to carry work equipment or recreation gear. The tailgate can be removed without tools.

The RIDGE XR was designed to offer class-leading comfort—from its highly composed chassis to its roomy, adjustable accommodations, and even its In-Line Four engine, which offers smooth power, low vibration, and low noise. On select models, a full cab with HVAC offers all-season interior comfort.

Designed from the start with comfort in mind, the RIDGE XR’s wide-track chassis contributes to a composed handling character and ride comfort. Its frame was designed to accommodate long-travel suspension and the concurrently designed full-cab, ensuring a high level of comfort. Even on the move, low noise and low vibration translate to serene calm and quiet composure inside the cabin.

The RIDGE XR’s roomy cabin greatly contributes to ride comfort. High-backed bucket seats and three-point seatbelts offer support to driver and passenger during sport riding and provide comfortable seating during more leisurely riding. Ample legroom is complemented by lever-adjustable seats. Tilt steering allows the driver to further fine-tune their position for control and comfort. EPS is standard. Sliding behind the wheel feels like getting into a car—from the natural sitting position to the position of the steering wheel and controls.

Storage space abounds in the RIDGE XR. A passenger-side glove box, and another lidded compartment above the glove box provide enclosed storage for small items.A DC socket in the dashboard provides power for accessories, and two USB ports are available inside the lidded storage above the glove box.Addition storage space is available inside the armrest console, behind the seats and under the passenger seat.

Factory-standard full cab comes complete with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), creating a comfortable escape from the heat in summer and the cold in winter. A windshield with UV and IR-cut glass, and roof insulation add to more effective temperature management in the cabin.

The RIDGE XR cuts an impressive figure, with automotive-style fit and finish on display both from afar and up close. Both inside and out, the high attention to little details is evident.

A large 7” high-grade full-colour TFT LCD screen built into the automotive-style dashboard contributes to the RIDGE XR’s high-quality feel. Multiple selectable display modes offer information at a glance in the format of the driver’s choice.

In addition to vehicle management and maintenance features, Kawasaki’s Powersports-exclusive RIDEOLOGY app offers the ability to record and share trips, contributing to an enhanced off-roading experience.

A roof and doors are standard on all models, adding to the premium quality feel. The doors feature both exterior and interior latches and electric power windows. The high quality automotive-style dashboard and controls are further enhanced by high-grade fit & finish details like floor lighting, backlit switches and decorative components.

Complementing its sporty and tough styling, the RIDGE XR’s premium exterior includes painted fenders and all-LED lighting. The front headlights’ line-type LED position lights create a fierce expression, backed up by a large aluminium Kawasaki emblem on the front grille, a light-looking steel front bumper, and LED accent lights on the bumper shrouds.
